The Mad Trapper Manhunt
New Snowshoeing event being put on my Mike Caldwell. 3 celebrity Mad Trappers (Steve Hay, Graydon Almstead, Sarah Rowe), will attempt to elude all registered "trackers" on the 164 acre Synergy Adventure Training terrrain. The "trackers" job is to capture the flag (as in flag football) before the celebrity Trappers make it back to the Ark. Boundaries will be set, and the hunt will be on! Sounds like a great way to kill an afternoon.

Keskinada Loppet
This is the grand-daddy of the Canadian cross-country skiing scene. It also happens to be Canada's larget event, and attracts athletes from all over the world. A very intimidating event, but perhaps I will try the 53km classic race. I know, crazy me. It's either this race, or the Canadian Ski Marathon. I'll try to pick one.
The Canadian Ski Marathon
Well, I just realized that I don't really have a category for skiing events, since I haven't done them yet! Regardless, this is one of the best-known ski events around here, with a variety of options. The beauty of this one is that it is only classic skiing, no skate skiing, suits me fine, since all I've got are classic skis. I'm contemplating entering the Tourer category, where you just choose a number of legs to try.
My New Best Friend at Work
The Music Genome Project, created in January 2000, is an effort founded by Tim Westergren, a 1988 graduate from Stanford University and spearheaded by a group of musicians and technicians to "capture the essence of music at the fundamental level" by using over 400 attributes to describe songs.Yup, each an every song in the database is catalogued on many different levels to classify it, like a unique living creature. This enables the new stations you create in Pandora to play music you are highly likely to enjoy.
